Boa Constrictor

INTRODUCTION

Boa Constrictors can grow up to 4 metres long and weigh more than 30 kilograms. Females are usually larger and heavier than the males.

As the name suggests these snakes are non-venomous and instead constrict their prey by wrapping their coils around the prey and squeezing before swallowing it whole.

Here at the park we have one boa constrictor called Beauty.
