Plumed Basilisk

INTRODUCTION

The Basilisk is able to run short distances across water using both its feet and tail for support. This has earned the Plumed Basilisk the nickname “Jesus Christ lizard”.

Also an excellent swimmer they can stay under water for up to 30 minutes. Males are extremely territorial, keeping control over areas with many females and driving out and attacking any other males.
