LDWP has developed bespoke practical workshops enhancing students’ knowledge of the daily practical, research and conservation based activities that take place within the wildlife park.
The LDWP team offer Modular Animal Care Sessions for students studying animal care on further education courses. These provide detailed and specific information and allow access to areas of the zoo not normally available for the public to view.
Each module is 2 hours. One hour is spent in a classroom setting providing background information and an introduction to the topic. The other hour is out in the zoo participating in a tailored behind-the-scenes experience.
The modular sessions enable visiting students to get the perfect combination of topics for their animal care course; topics include;
